How muxhbis land bank in bhel

There is no single, officially published “total land bank” figure for BHEL at the consolidated (all‑India) level. The company’s annual reports give the value of land under “Property, Plant & Equipment”, but not the total area in acres/hectares.

What is publicly available is unit‑wise information, especially for BHEL Bhopal (the largest land parcel):

- As per a recent reply in the Lok Sabha (quoted widely), a total of 6,045.18 acres was originally acquired at Bhopal for the heavy electrical equipment plant.

- Out of this, 1,565.97 acres has been transferred over time to the State and Central Governments for public purposes.

- Currently, BHEL Bhopal holds about 4,479.21 acres of land, of which:

- ~580.76 acres is factory/plant area

- ~3,898.45 acres is township, urban forestry and other areas

- About 216 acres is reported to be under unauthorised encroachment. (grosonadvisors.com)

As an example of the scale at other locations, the BHEL Jhansi unit alone (factory + township) is spread over about 1,064 acres. (en.wikipedia.org) BHEL also owns sizable land at its Haridwar, Tiruchirapalli, Hyderabad, Ranipet and other units, but a consolidated acreage across all units is not disclosed in one number.

For detailed, latest disclosures, you should refer to BHEL’s most recent annual report and Ministry of Heavy Industries documents (Annual Reports page on BHEL’s site: “Annual Reports | Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited”). (bhel.com)
